Most of the pet owners let their pets to sleep with them during the nights, especially if it is a dog, Dogs are companions that is unmatched by any other animal. Of course it is not like the other animals do not sleep with their masters.
Dogs have a sleep pattern like the human beings and they often feel relaxed during the night and can trust their masters completely. This is the reason dogs fall asleep easily and enters in a deep sleep where REM occurs.
If dog is in REM it needs lots of shaking to wake it up. Many of us have witnessed dog barking with their eyes closed or while sleeping. This is the time they are dreaming.
The breathing patterns of the dogs if noticed, there are some dogs which breathe heavily and some breathe lightly. The heavy breathing dogs tend to snore more than the light breathing ones. Snoring dogs are a nuisance during the quite night. Just like the humans there are various reasons for snoring dogs. Mostly it is due to the obstruction of air passage.
The reason of snoring should be checked then only the medication can be started on them. Some or the dogs are prone to allergies due to certain medications. You should let the Veterinarian look at them and give the medication accordingly.
If your dog is overweight, then also it will snore just like obese human beings the dogs have more flesh around the throat and that can be the cause of snoring.
The problem once taken care of will stop the snoring in the dog and will give you peaceful nights.
The dogs having small faces need a lot of effort to breathe and that also may cause snoring in dogs.
If your nights are passed listening to the dog snoring you can avoid that by having minor surgery on the dog to get the much required relief. Bu the vet is the best person to give you in stopping the snoring of your dog.
